PT Agility International Located in Pondok Ungu, Bekasi. PT Agility is one of the most competitive logistics companies in the world and also a 3PL (Third Party Logistics) company. Until now Agility has handled various products. Starting from Nike, Herbal Life, MAP, Honda Power, and many more.
Logistics Activities in PT. Agility includes freight forwading, transportation and warehousing. On the occasion yesterday our scientific visit in focus to know activity in warehouse PT. Agility at Pondok Ungu Bekasi. On that occasion we were divided into several groups to know the activities in the warehouse.
We start from the MAP, HerbalLife, Nike, Bekel, and last part of HondaPower.
Agility has many types of storage, ranging from shelf to flow, from dry to cold.
Inbound process in agility warehouse is checking goods not manually but by using RF (Radio Frequency) which is connected directly to computer system in warehouse, after goods GR (Good Receiving) then goods are put into shelf according to placement which is arranged by WMS ( Warehouse Management System).
After that done the process of picking for 1 purchase order entered in 1 carton. Goods to be taken must be items in the list of picking orders. After selecting the finished consul / route item grouping according to delivery route. After grouping in each delivery route, then QC (Quality Control) is checking the goods or goods by scanning the barcode in the goods. The rest of the system will refuse if the scanned barcode does not match the company's order. After the QC (Quality Control) process is completed then the hand lading process is the process whereby each pallet will be placed carton which will be ready to be shipped by the route and delivery schedule.
And the next is the Outbound process, which is the process that starts from order processing in the process by creating TMR (Tranfer Manifest Report). In making 1 TMR is for 1 shipping route. And then per-truck routing is placed in the staging area. After the document is completed, the goods are loaded onto the truck according to the delivery route. After delivery, POD (Proof of delivery) is proof of delivery of goods.
NIKE
In Nike brand there are four processes, namely inbound, outbound, inventory and process order. Distribution system is done directly as to Sport Station. Before distributing, the warehouse staff will re-check the goods to be shipped. If any items are damaged then the Staff will immediately confirm to the Nike.
The storage method used is FIFO (First In First Out) because Nike is included in the category of fashion goods then products with old designs will be difficult to sell because it is not the trend. Unsold product is called lost out.
Nike implements a disposal system whereby goods that can not be marketed will be destroyed, so as not to damage the Nike brand image. Every morning the staff checks the stock between physical goods and WMS.
Initially Nike shoes are stored in their respective shoe box, then in order to save space and simplify checking, each box is grouped into one cardboard (unitizing).
The packing process starts from Barcode scans to adjust the data in WMS. Packing is done using ordinary cardboard from PT Agility. If there is a complaint about the loss or damage problem, it is usually seen from its packing and can be reported 1 × 24 hours. Nike packing is coated with wrapping.
HERBALIFE
Herbalife is a product of beauty and health products. Herbalife has a variety of products such as shampoo, diet remedies, milk, masks, etc.
Products like shampoo, mask, which are not consumed are kept in the cool room.
Distribution system using door to door or to outlet because Herbalife products are not sold in general.
Prior to distribution, Herbalife products enter processes such as Packing, laser making, labeling. The purpose of laser making is to identify the product. Herbalife provides its own tools and materials used in the packing process. So the Agility only rent his warehouse only. The Agility Party shall not be liable for damaged goods. The system used by Herbalife is FEFO (First Expired First Out) because most Herbalife products are consumable products. Herbalife products are included in fast moving products.
Agility applying kaizen for example there is a flag on each block indicating the tidiness of the red flag symbolizes that it is still a mess so the green flags already neat, Agility has a warehouse PLB And also has cold storage to store herbalife and pharmaceutical products like drugs.
